Wrap with Love started in 1992 as a non-denominational, non-political organisation to relieve trauma associated with people subjected to extreme cold and freezing conditions.
Wrap with Love has approximately 25,000 volunteers around Australia knitting squares that are made into wraps to be sent to needy countries throughout the world.
Thousands of people die each day due to exposure to the cold and these wraps can save peoples lives by stopping hypothermia which is one of the biggest killers for traumatised people.
Each Monday, a group of ladies meet at the Reg Murphy Activity Centre at Kings Cross to knit and chat. Since the group started, they have knitted over 50 wraps for this cause.
The latest batch of 30 wraps are being bundled up to be sent to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Pakistan. Well done ladies!
